About LAMP REVIVAL

Located in the scenic Midcoast near Rockland, Maine, we have been repairing and fabricating unique lighting fixtures for almost 10 years.

We certainly hope that you enjoy viewing our lamps as much as we did making them.

About Our Lamps

LAMP REVIVAL avoids the use of reclaimed parts in electrically active circuits wherever possible. Recycled electric components may be unreliable or unsafe.

          > Failed bulb sockets and switches are primary reasons for discarding
             lamps.

          > Power cord insulation gets damaged or becomes brittle.

          > Most aged lamps did not use safer polarized plugs.

          > In rare instances where a custom antique part with no contemporary
equivalent must be used, the parts are tested and/or rebuilt.

Best practices are used to maximize safety and reliability:

          > The more complex multi-bulb lamps use 3-wire grounded electric plugs
             and polarized wiring.

          > The simpler lamps use polarized 2-wire plugs and polarized wiring.

          > Careful bulb selection and venting minimize overheating.

And a cautious note:

          > Light bulbs are hot.

          > These lamps are not appropriate in locations accessable to children
             or pets.
